Smokewood | Alpaca Wool Blanket | 240cm x 170cm
Description
Smokewood (Chilcapamba)
A deep, earthy alpaca blend throw made for warmth, comfort and everyday use.
Its rich striped palette of brown, coffee, cocoa and soft earth tones brings quiet depth to any space. Warm without feeling heavy, refined without feeling delicate, Smokewood is an easy piece to live with across seasons.
Baby alpaca is known for its exceptional softness, natural warmth and breathable comfort. Lightweight and beautifully tactile, it is designed to be used often layered across the bed, draped over the sofa, folded into the van, or wrapped around you on cool evenings outside.
Each piece carries the character of traditional Andean textile craft. Subtle variations in tone, texture and finish are part of its nature, a reminder that this is a slow-made textile, not a mass-produced layer.
Handwoven in Ecuador and originally known as Chilcapamba, Smokewood reflects the character of slower textile production and made to bring warmth and presence to the places you make your own.
This is a blanket to reach for often: in the morning with coffee, at the end of the bed, beside the fire, or wherever the day asks for a little more warmth.
Smokewood is woven from an 80% baby alpaca and 20% synthetic blend, giving it the softness and warmth of alpaca with added durability for life outside. The added synthetic fibre helps strengthen the weave, making the throw more resilient for frequent use, travel, packing, layering and life between home and elsewhere.

I ordered this for my caravan but it's found its place at home on my bed as I just can't put it down. I was not expecting these blankets to be so soft and so large. The colours are so rich, and it is sooo warm. I will be buying a second one for the van.

I spent my first night camping with my Smokewood Alpaca wool blanket this weekend - and it was absolutely perfect! It's so lightweight, yet unbelievably soft, warm, and cosy. It was beautiful to wrap around myself while sitting under the stars beside the campfire...then I slept snug and warm all night - without needing to carry a bulky doona with me .
Now I'm home,... and I've found myself wrapped up in it again, snuggled on the couch. That says it all! I genuinely LOVE this blanket. It's beautifully made and has been my best buy this winter. I couldn't recommend it more highly!
